Aloha Friday #12


Welcome to this week’s edition of Aloha Friday. Thanks to Kailani at An Island Life for starting this fun for Friday. I’ll ask a simple question for you to answer. My question is:

Where was the best vacation you ever went on?

We tend to go on vacations mostly to visit family, and never just for fun. I went to Israel for fun though last summer and it really was a life-changing trip.

    It would have to be Disneyworld! I went there on my honeymoon!

    Never went anywhere except to visit family one or two states over. Then, for my 35th birthday a few years ago we went whale watching in Mexico. It was AMAZING.

    That would definitely be this year when we went to Puerto Rico as a family. We had a blast!

    Now if you're talking about a favorite vacation with just my wife and I then I'd have to say Tobago when we stayed at a resort on the beach. It was amazing.

    Isreal. Wow. I've had many friends who have been but I have to admit it would make me nervous with the current political situation to visit. I am aware that life there is very different than it is here.

    I've had a lot of really wonderful trips. It would be difficult to single out just one. So, I'll say that recently we were able to go to the Caribbean with our 5 children for a week and that was a fantastic experience.

    Our family trip to the Big Island of Hawaii, when we lived on Oahu, that was fun.

    Cancun Mexico on our honeymoon was my favorite. Except for the day that I was completely sunburned. That day sucked.

    We went to NYC, DC and Baltimore in the early 90's. My family had a great time and I was glad to be with them to share and enjoy. It was the best. Happy Positive Day, 2009 :)

    My graduation trip to Europe back in 1994. I visited friends in France and Italy, and family in Sweden. Have a wonderful weekend and take care.

    I'd have to say it was our honeymoon (that we took a year later). We went up to a ski resort, I was pregnant, and there was no snow, but we had so much fun.

    I would say my trip to the Caribbean cruise with all our friends and family. It was the most amazing because I also got married on that cruise.

    We live in Ohio, we took a road trip west and stopped at many places. We went to SanFrancisco and then on the way back home Sedona, AZ. THAT was my favorite sspot EV-A!

    That is hard because we have not taken the kids to Disney World yet. We went for our honeymoon and it was awesome!!! We have taken the kids to Sesame Place and we love it there.

    The South Seas trip. We went to Thailand, Malaysia,and Singapore. I really loved our stay at Puket. the water and the Islands were so beautiful.

    while there have not been alot there have been a few but the few were all great perhaps I could say the trip to Florida, or the trip to Mo state

    The best vacation was when my mom and I went to Pennsylvania for the Amish/Gettysburg bus tour. I had so much fun

    The best vacation I've ever been on....well it'd be the only vacation I've taken in a long time; my honeymoon to Disney World.

    Growing up we went on many vacations. I'd have to say my favorite was going to Florida from Ohio for Christmas vacation. I feel in love with the beach and moved to Florida when I got out on my own.

    I would have to say Hawaii, because it was SO incredibly beautiful.

    I also really liked Cape May New Jersey, it was an adorable town with such charm!

    My favorite vacation would have to be my honeymoon. We went to Estes Park, CO and other areas in close proximity. We had a week with no agenda and just the two of us.

    hmmm...I think the coolest place I have been was Italy, but the best vacation was one with my hubby. We took a road trip when we were dating from WY to Oregon/Californiia and back. It was a rough one, but it def made us stronger!

    I would have to say South Dakota. It was a spur of the moment trip. We stayed in a hotel that had a water park. The kids had a blast!

    I have been so very lucky to have won vacations at the company where I worked. Three of the 5 trips were wonderful! Maui, New Orleans, and Arizona. Arizona was the very best cause my son went with me and we went early and explored the whole state!****This was a great question! I enjoyed reading everyone's answers! Thanks!

    My boyfriend and I took a trip to Wisconsin Dells a few years ago, just the two of us. That was a really great weekend. It's the only time we have ever done a vacation alone, and I wish we could do it again.

    I would definitely say my honeymoon. We went to a beautiful lake in the alps in Slovenia and stayed at a cozy little bed & breakfast. I would love to go back someday.

    Hmm. Either San Fransisco with my husband (then fiancee), or New Orleans with a couple of girlfriends. Both were fun, for completely different reasons!
