Restaurant Review - Panda Garden

I'm going to keep trying restaurants until I find the ones that I want to go to all the time.  I was craving Chinese food a few weeks ago, so my dad and I headed out to Panda Garden in Meridian.

We both ordered egg drop soup.  It came with chunks of tofu in it, and was pretty gelatinous.  It had a good flavor though.

My dad wanted to get sweet and sour chicken.  It was okay, but kind of had a peanut butter after taste.

I ordered chicken egg foo young.  It was a huge portion!  The only downside was that you had to put the sauce on yourself and I like my egg foo young soggy LOL

You also get a choice of white or brown rice, which is nice for those of us that like brown rice.

Over all, the food was okay.  I would probably go back, but I am going to keep looking for excellent Chinese food!

What's your favorite Chinese dish?

  4. I love love love Honey chicken and I'm a fan of beef and broccoli. That food looks pretty authentic though :) I've never heard of a peanut butter aftertaste with sweet & sour chicken, sounds kind of strange. I do love me some Chinese though, PF Changs is where I always choose to go for my birthday dinner.

  5. Good Chinese food is hard to come by. We have a pretty descent place near us, so we are lucky, but still took many tries before finding this place.

  6. Oh boy that does look great! I don't know what my favorites are. Usually my husband goes to pick up a variety of Chinese food, and we all take a little of this and a little of that. I generally like it all. Except I'm not a fan of water chestnuts. I think it's a texture thing.

  8. I think my favourite is simply the combination of various dishes. Now that I'm in a new city, I have no idea which is a good place to have Chinese food. I guess I'll find out eventually.

  9. Good question! I like tofu with mixed vegetables in a brown sauce. There's a place here that does a white sauce too and it's out of this world.
What's funny is that I'm not a vegetarian. I just like tofu in Chinese dishes.
