This novel starts off all about Miles Ryan, a deputy sheriff who lost his wife in a hit and run accident. His grief for her is consuming, and he puts a lot of his time and energy into finding her killer. But then he meets Sarah Andrews, his son's teacher. They slowly start a romance, and it is so sweet. The killer has journal entries throughout the book, and it really seems like it could be any of the characters! Because it's a Nicholas Sparks book, Miles and Sarah have the killer come between them, and you will never see it coming! I don't want to say anymore for fear of ruining it!
Have you ever read or watches one of Nicholas Sparks' novels? Aren't they great?

I've read him before. I'm going to have to read this book. It sounds like a great mix of romance and mystery.
Have a fabulous day. ☺
I only read one of the books - A walk to Remember
but have seen a lot of the movies
This one sounds good too. Thanks for sharing :)
Aw, sounds sweet. And suspenseful! I'm curious to see if I'll be able to pick out the killer.
I love romance books but I seldom take the time to read. I do buy them and I also have many on a Kindle app. on my computer. I do however see all the Nicholas Sparks movies. I love them!
I have never read a nicholas sparks book! My friends are always in shock when I admit that!
Hey Becca,
I've not heard of Nicholas Sparks. However, your mercifully short post has um Sparked my interest. I so prefer short posts!
A good year to you, Becca.
Gary :)
I love Nicholas Sparks. I think Bend in the Road was one of my favorites! If you haven't read Suzanne's Diary for Nicholas by James Patterson, you might like that one if you liked this one.
My wife likes Romances, and she loves to watch the different English and Australian mysteries on PBS. I like the Dr. Blake mysteries, myself and watch that with her. She surely knows this author but I confess I haven't seen any of his books that I know of.
oohh this looks interesting! :D
Have a great week!
Animated Confessions
I used to love Nicolas Sparks novels, but I got tired of getting invested in the characters, then having the main male character die at the end. I'm told he doesn't do that every time, but I started seeing it coming about halfway through by the way he was spinning the story and it stopped being fun. I guess I like happy endings too much!
I haven't read Nicholas Sparks in years. I really should get back to it especially since I love the romcom movies. Happy New Year.
I do like his books no matter how predictable they are ;) My favorite is The Last Song.
I haven't read one of his books in a long time but that is due in large part to the fact I haven't been reading as many books lately! Thanks for the nudge!
