Last night I went to see a local high school's performance of Dracula...and it started at 9:30 pm!! The play was good, the kids were cute, I had never seen, read, etc Dracula.
But...this morning, I had to wake up at 6:45 (and I didn't go to bed til after 1) and now tonight I am exhausted!!!!!!
Does anyone have any tips on staying awake until a normal hour after not enough sleep? I don't drink energy drinks and don't enjoy coffee or soda.
Thanks :)

Yes: When I was in college, a professor gave a few tips and I've always used them:
1. Turn on as many lights as you can. Your body is attuned to light, and it will signal your body that it's "awake time".
2. If you're going to take a test, eat eggs for breakfast. There is a study which links eggs (specifically) to memory retention.
3. Eat light in the morning so your stomach isn't fighting your brain.
4. Take a lukewarm shower. Some people recommend you take a shower that alternates between hot and cold, but I find that highly unpleasant (although effective).
I would say just don't sit around. Be active...you mean 5 hours and 45 minutes isn't enough sleep for you? LOl...I'd give anything to sleep that much LOL
I am not a morning person. The only think that works for me is a cold shower. Then try to keep as busy as possible. DOnt stop because it will get you. Other than Starbucks always works for me as a last resort.
