Aloha Friday #37 - Travelling

Welcome to this week’s edition of Aloha Friday. Thanks to Kailani at An Island Life for starting this fun for Friday. I’ll ask a simple question for you to answer. Nothing that requires a lengthy response. If you’d like to participate, just post your own question on your blog . Please be sure to head over to her blog to say hello and sign the Mr. Linky there if you are participating.

What is the longest road trip you have ever taken?  If you have never taken one, what is the longest time you have traveled for?

I am going to Idaho next month and it is about a 16 hour drive each way.  It gets pretty boring!

From Texas to Nebraska, about 17 hours straight through. Ugh! I don't envy the road travel.

Longest road trip was driving from Seattle to PA when I moved here - it took us about 4 days since we stopped at various tourist points along the way. ;) We just got back from a road trip to visit my sister in Iowa - about 18 hours, but we split it between 2 days of driving rather than drive straight through. :)

The longest road trip that I went on was either from where we live in NY to Fredericton, NB for a hockey roadtrip in the winter when I was in college. It may also have been from NY to NC/SC area. Safe travels to you.

In the winter of 2007 we traveled from South Florida to Southern California by way of the east coast, Pennsylvania, Ohio, Michigan, Indiana, Illinois, Iowa, Minnesota, the Dakotas, Nebraska, Colorado, New Mexico and Arizona. Our plan had been to go from Montana to Canada and then come down the west coast however we met our daughter-in-law and grandkids at Carlsbad Caverns in New Mexico instead. From there we went to the Grand Canyon and home. The whole road trip was 2 1/2 months although Nebraska to home was only 1 weeks. ;D Other than the cold, snow and blizzards we encountered it was the most fabulous road trip/holiday of our lives!

In May I drove from here (va) to St. Pete, FL, which is about 17 hours, but I've done from Syracuse, NY, to Miami, FL, which is hella-longer! I like road trips, though. :D

My longest road trip was from Detroit Mi. to California on a Greyhound Bus, I thought I would never get there. I'm participating in Aloha Friday from http://www.cuzinlogic.com

I think the longest trip I ever took was when I was in the 2nd grade - two months long! My mom brought me and my brother to the Philippines to visit her family - at that point, it had been 10 yrs since she had been back there. Unfortunately, I can't remember the trip anymore, but I do remember that had tons of fun! :-)

We once took a 10 hour road trip around the island we live on. We made lots of stops, though!
