]My lunch was pastitsio (noodles, meat sauce, bechamel sauce) and spanakopita (spinach and cheese in filo dough). The spanakopita was amazingly delicious!
My dessert came with a Greek flag on top...what's inside??
Kourambiethes (powdered sugar covered cookies) and melomakarona (cookies dipped in honey with crushed walnuts on top)
I truly hope as the years go on that they expand their Greek food selections. There are just so many options! Do you have a favorite Greek food?

Baklava and spanikopita are HUUUUUGE favorites of mine. I wish I had known to go ... I'm so pissed at you, Becca, for not dragging me along too! hahaha jk
I love a good dessert house!
I think I love baklava quite a lot.
What an awesome event. 36 years!
I wish I will eat more Greek food in my future. We went to a dinner at a Greek place once and it was honestly some of the best food I have EVER eaten! Oh, and these look delicious too. I hope you had fun at the food festival!
Greek food can be really good! If you have a sweet tooth, the desserts are superb!
I love Greek food. It's very good. I would go, but I'm a long way from where you are.
Have a fabulous day. ☺
I love Greek food! Yum. I usually like to get a sampler - I can't limit myself to any one thing, lol.
It's all Greek to me lol can't say I've ever tried Greek food.
Hello, the Greek food looks delicious. The festivals are fun, always great food too. Thanks so much for visiting my blog. Happy Wednesday, enjoy your day!
Baklava is my very favorite, but I'm a fan of Greek salads too!
that looks delicious I went to one of those a long time ago with my Mom. I love baklava :)
Wait a minute... Did you say, "cookies dipped in honey with crushed walnuts on top"?
Why am I on a diet again? See, now I'm hungry :D
Yummm!!! I'd have to load up on baklava, for sure. That's my favorite part of eating Greek.
I adore Greek food! And I make a mean spanakopita, if I do say so myself.
Yum! The Greek Festival is one of my favorite events of the year locally!
Have a great day :)
Hi Becca - spanokopita - I love it and make it often ... and then baklava - also similarly ... but love Greek food - could eat it forever with salads and some vino! Enjoy the weekend ... cheers Hilary
I think I would enjoy a Greek Festival. Yes I love Gyros and can't wait to have one in Tarpon Springs, Florida while I am here.
Hi Becca, living in Greece I do get to sample some very nice Greek food. The beauty of it is it's so simple but tasty. A nice meal of lemony chicken and lemony potatoes is up there with my favs as is souvlaki pita ( pork with tomato, onion, tzaziki and paprika wrapped up in a pita bread. I do enjoy a nice kourambiethe too, but we usually only get them at Christmas. I hope they expand the menu in the future too as there is so much good Greek food to enjoy!
xx
