I was really excited when I was offered a chance to review the Wii game WeSing 80s by
Nordic Games. I am a child of the 80s and 80s music is really fun, plus my friends and I all love video games! WeSing 80s is a karaoke game that 1-4 people can play. You can solo, play against each other, play in teams, and more!
Paul, Sarah, and Mark showing off their skills!
The game features 30 songs. Some of my favorites from the list are Eternal Flame by The Bangles, Come On Eileen by Dexys Midnight Runners, and Straight Up by Paula Abdul. There were many songs on here that some of us hadn't heard of, but one of my friends did manage to know almost all of the songs!
Scott, Kevin, me, and Mark singing our hearts out!
The game is either sold alone or bundled with 1 or 2 microphones. My review copy contained 2 microphones, and luckily my friends had 2 other microphones that we used!
Mark and I look so happy to be playing!
The words display on screen for you, but you can also choose to turn them off. I believe you can also turn off the notes. You also have the option to hear the band singing the vocals, or you can go acoustic.
Kevin (on the left) is really getting into it in this one!
The game did have a few quirks that I should mention. It seemed to care about pitch the most when scoring you. One friend did the notes but not the words through a whole song and won. You also have to be loud! When I was quiet, it yelled at me a lot LOL And the weirdest of all was that Sarah scored higher when she sang in funny voices than when she sang in her normal voice!
We loved watching the old videos from the 80s. We are all musical, so we loved getting to karaoke from the comfort of home. Overall, we had a lot of fun playing!
