Restaurant Review - Grand China Buffet

I LOVE buffets!  There are 2 Chinese buffets near me, and I decided to try Grand China Buffet in Boise a few days ago since I had tried the other one a few years ago.

I always like to start off with a plate of appetizers.  I went for cream cheese won tons, sweet and sour chicken, veggie roll, fried zucchini, and a chicken meat ball.  They were all so good!

I love egg drop soup.  This was delicious!

My next plate of food had chow mein, veggie egg foo young, honey chicken, and chicken with broccoli.  The egg foo young was a little too thick for me, but otherwise it was another great plate of food.

Most of their sushi had fake crab in it.  The best one of the three was the one that had cream cheese in it.

Sooooo much dessert.  Two fried donuts, jello, chocolate pudding, and mint chocolate chip self serve ice cream.

This food was honestly so good.  Sometimes buffets only have okay food since they are making so much, but everything I tried here was amazing.  They also had tons of cold food that didn't appeal to me, a Mongolian noodle bar, and dim sum which I just didn't even have room for.  I can't wait to go back here!

Now I'm hungry. This all sounds and looks so good. We have a wonderful Chinese restaurant we love to visit. I think we need to go now.

Have a fabulous day. ☺

I love egg drop soup too! It all looks delicious. My husband doesn't care for buffets so I don't get to eat at them very often except in Las Vegas.
Happy New Year!

The Chinese meal sounds really good! I like to try out different eateries and am always surprised to find a buffet that offers good food with a lot of variety.

Always grand when the food turns out to be good, as it usually isn't.

I get Chinese every once in awhile to go and use the containers later for applique / quilting things! :)

Now you have me craving Chinese food : ) My favorite is the potstickers.

I was just tell Grampy we needed to have some good Chinese food. There used to be an amazing place near us that closed down and since then we've never found the right new spot. I couldn't figure out from your blog what city/state you are in but I wish that place was near us!

I admit I'm a little jealous - I love Chinese, I haven't been to a good buffet in our area yet, I guess I need to be on the hunt for one now!

You do buffets right. Mine mostly consist of three trips for the main food and a big plate of dessert. I just skip the whole soup/sushi part!

I love Chinese! I am so bummed because my favorite Chinese place just closed down. You could get an awesome lunch for $4 every day. I'm not a fan of egg drop soup, but the rest of my family loves it. I do love a good cup of hot and sour soup!
