Restaurant Review - JB's Restaurant

I drive by JB's Restaurant every day on my way to and from work.  They advertise that they have a salad bar.  I went there with my dad just for that!

The salad bar has 3 types of soup!  I went with the chicken noodle and it was so good!  My salad was good also :)

For dinner I ordered 1/2 chicken salad sandwich (with pecans and cranberries) and fries.  It was really good, and the bread was nice and thick!  They give you a very generous helping of chicken salad!

My dad ordered the senior sirloin steak with mashed potatoes and gravy and corn.  The steak was a bit undercooked and the corn was plain, but other than that he really liked it!  Unfortunately, he started eating before I could take a picture!

This was a great diner, and the salad bar was really nice.  I have always loved diner food, so I know I will be going here again!

Do you like diners or do you prefer nicer restaurants?

I LOVE hole-in-the-wall diners! The places only the locals know about. :-) Though nicer restaurants are good, too.

We don't eat out often so I'm happy to eat out at all! I don't like super fancy. Actually, I love hitting up random food stalls in big cities. Stuff like street tacos. Yum!

We don't really have anything but little cafe's up here in the Blue Ridge, but I do love salad bars. Have to drive a long way to get to one though. Hope you are having a good holiday season.

I do like a nice salad bar when we go out to eat. I'm not a big fan of dining out as I've always appreciated home cooked meals, but once in a while it's really nice to have a nice meal and not have to worry about cooking it or dealing with the cleanup afterwards! I'd much rather go to casual dining than something fancy, like Ruth's Chris. We went there a few years ago and dinner was like $75 a person and it wasn't even very good!

I'm from New Jersey, so I do love diners.
Also, salad bars are something I really love. I will go out of my way just for a good one. Same with soup!

I love different types of soup. I've been making a pumpkin southwestern chicken soup. It's so good!

I love JB'S. It has been years since I have gone to one. It used to be our favorite in another city we lived in and then we moved to a JB-less city :(
