30 Days About Me - Day 8 - Something You Hate

30 Days About Me

Toni at A Daily Dose of Toni is graciously hosting a 30-day meme to help us all get to know each other better.  She has a theme for each day so that we can post something about ourselves.  There are a good number of us participating so far.  I'm excited to get to know more about my fellow bloggers and also to let others know more about me.

Day 8 - Something You Hate

Oh no, where shall I start?!?!?  Just kidding....kinda.  In all seriousness, there is one thing I think I hate more than anything else in this world.  I hate being lied to!  It drives me absolutely bonkers.  I don't lie (really, people are surprised when they get to know me and learn this is true) so I don't have any understanding of why people do it.  The truth almost always comes out anyway, so lying is just a waste of everyone's time and effort.

Is there one thing that you absolutely cannot stand???

That is so true Becca. Lying takes so much effort and what's crazy is that most people generally lie about stupid, little things. If you don't want to do something, just say so! Don't make up and excuse and then worry about being busted. Argh.

As they always say, if you tell one lie you have to tell another one to cover it up. Never a good thing.

I can't stand people who drag their kids to Target or Walmart when the kids are very tired and/or sick! Please take them home. The screaming and carrying on is unaccepatable. There are very rare instances where you should absolutely have to be in that store when your kid is that miserable. You will make the world a better place. Really.

Also, people who don't watch their kids and they are running down the aisles (by themselves) screaming and running into things. The other day I saw a kid running near the back exit door/storage room at Target. Someone could have swooped him into the back storage room in about 2 seconds and NO ONE CARED! It was several minutes before the teenage sister came around the corner to find him. Wow.

Oh Becca, I feel some serious stories behind this post. Being lied to is one of the worst things! I agree.

I need to write my post now! ;->

Lying is a good one. My mother hates liars/being lied to, and she was adamant about it. I knew to never lie to her. I knew that the consequences would be far greater if I lied. And now, I'm the same with my son. :)
