Hydrogen Peroxide Can Burn You!!!!

I think I have posted on my blog, facebook, etc. about the white dots I was sometimes getting on my fingers.  They seemed to happen most often in the morning, usually after I showered.  A few weeks ago they started to be accompanied by a slight burning sensation so I started keeping track of them more carefully.  I was hanging out with my best friend one night and my finger started to hurt.  Nothing was there but I told him why I was looking.

I don't know why I didn't mention it to him ever before because he knew exactly what it was!!!!!  He said it was a hydrogen peroxide burn.  I happen to use a contact solution that starts off as hydrogen peroxide and then reacts with a metal disc to clean my lenses.

Since the day he told me I have been washing my hands thoroughly with soap and water after handling my contact lens solution and I have been white dot free!
