Book Review: Love Letters by Debbie Macomber

I think Debbie Macomber will always be one of my favorite authors.  "Love Letters" is the newest paperback in her Rose Harbor series.  I've read all of the paperbacks in this series so far, and I love them!

The series revolves around Jo Marie Rose and all of the guests at her bed and breakfast.  Jo Marie's handyman Mark also plays a big role in every book.  I think they have crushes on each other!

Love Letters is about two different guests.  Ellie Reynolds is coming to Cedar Cove to meet someone she has been chatting with on Facebook.  She is coming to see if there is a love spark, and her mom thinks she is making a huge mistake!  Maggie and Roy Porter are coming to the inn to see if they can save their marriage.  Their marriage is a roller coaster throughout the whole book, and you really never know what's going to happen until the end!

The Rose Harbor novels are really cute love stories, and this was one was as good as the rest!  I hope Debbie Macomber keeps writing this series for a while!

Have you read the Cedar Cove or Rose Harbor books by Debbie Macomber?

Orchard Valley Grooms by Debbie Macomber

Orchard Valley Grooms by Debbie Macomber contains two books in one, Valerie and Stephanie.  Valerie, Stephanie, and Norah are sisters.  When their dad suffers a heart attack, Valerie hurries home from Texas to be by her dad's side.  Stephanie gets stuck in Italy and her biggest problem becomes finding a way home.  These books are about their love lives after returning home to Orchard Valley.

What fantastic stories!  I always love books that contain recurring characters.  I spent both books wondering if the main girls would end up with their leading men.  You never know, not all books have happy endings!  I am definitely going to be on the lookout now for Orchard Valley Brides, about Norah and Norah's friend Sherry.

1225 Christmas Tree Lane by Debbie Macomber

It was bittersweet when I decided to read 1225 Christmas Tree Lane.  I knew that after I read this book, I would never get to read a new Cedar Cove novel again!  I know Debbie Macomber will write more book that I will love, they just won't include all of these characters that I feel like I know!

1225 Christmas Tree Lane revolves around Beth Morehouse, her Christmas tree farm, the puppies that were dropped off on her doorstep, and her ex-husband, Kent.  What a great group of characters!  The book also mentioned a bit about every other character in the series so that you kind of felt like you were getting some closure on all of them.

Well, I just have to hope that Debbie Macomber creates a new series that I will love as much as I loved the Cedar Cove series.  :)

Book Review - Hannah's List

I accidentally read two books by Debbie Macomber in a row.  They had both been sitting on my shelf for a while and well...it happens.  That's okay though because her writing is great and the books were really different.

Hannah's List is about Dr. Michael Everett.  He receives a letter from his deceased wife on the 1-year anniversary of her passing.  In the letter, Hannah asks him to start dating again.  She even lists three possible women for him.  I don't want to give much more away, so I will just say that the bulk of the book is his getting to know the three women his wife suggested for him.

This was a really great, feel-good book.  I would highly recommend it.

I can't wait for Debbie Macomber's next book, A Turn in the Road.

Book Review - 1105 Yakima Street by Debbie Macomber

I am a huge Debbie Macomber fan!  I wait every year for September to come around and her next Cedar Cove book to come out.  #11 - 1105 Yakima Street recently came out and I immediately bought it!  I was super sad to learn though that #12 is coming out around Xmas time and then the series is coming to an end.

This book splits most of its focus between Rachel, her husband Bruce & his daughter Jolene, Ben & his wife Charlotte, and Linc & his wife Lori Wyse. Rachel has moved out of her home due to her constant fighting with Jolene.  Ben and Charlotte have a fire in their house and are starting to show signs of their age.  Linc and Lori are having neverending problems due to Lori's dad not approving of Linc.  I feel like I really know all of these characters at this point and I am always rooting for all of them!

1225 Christmas Tree Lane

Throughout the book they also talk a bit about Beth Morehouse, who the final book #13 will be about.  Beth's address is 1225 Christmas Tree Lane.  She rescues dogs and sells Christmas trees and I can't wait to get to know her better!

I am sad that Debbie Macomber will be ending this series but I can only hope she starts up a new one!
