Food

I am a big junk food junkie. I'm always looking for ways to be healthier without being miserable or starving. I decided to only eat dessert on the weekends. I've only been doing it for a few days but it has been working.

But now I sit here after lunch, hungry. I ate a grilled cheese, 100 calorie chips and mandarin orange for lunch. My mom just told me that really isn't very much food.

So now I ask, what are filling foods that are fairly healthy? I don't like many fruits and veggies so it makes things difficult.

Thanks for any and all advice!!!!!!!

Apples, sliced turkey meat, low cal microwave popcorn, yogurt, and drink tons of water!

Cut your food into TINY pieces. An apple diced and eaten with a toothpick takes awhile, mowing down an apple takes no time at all and has me searching the fridge when I toss the core.

Thanks for the great tips. I actually pop my own popcorn in a paper bag but I do that a lot!!!! I also only drink water, hardly any juice and NO soda. I eat rather slowly as it is but when I like something I scarf it, so eating smaller pieces may help. Thank you thank you thank you.

Becca,
I love grilled pita's with hummus or maybe have a bowl of tomato soup with your grilled cheese (low in fat). Try anything high in fiber. That is what is going keep you full. When I am really hungry I like to eat a Thomas double fiber english muffin. It really holds me over.
