Aloha Friday #38 - Teeth

Welcome to this week’s edition of Aloha Friday. Thanks to Kailani at An Island Life for starting this fun for Friday. I’ll ask a simple question for you to answer. Nothing that requires a lengthy response. If you’d like to participate, just post your own question on your blog . Please be sure to head over to her blog to say hello and sign the Mr. Linky there if you are participating.

Have you ever had braces/Invisalign?

I have had Invisalign for a week now!

I have never had braces or Invisalign. My 15 year old daughter had braces and my 10 year old son will be getting them in a year or two.

I did have braces - but not until I was 28. :) I had fun making sure the rubber bands matched outfits - like when my brother got married, they were the exact same color of teal as my bridesmaid dress. ;) Princess Nagger will need braces - she's already decided she'd prefer Invisalign when she gets old enough to have them. :)

I have never had either of them! My sister just got invisalign and they seem like a pain in the butt! Maybe that is because I don't reap the benefits from it! I feel lucky I have never needed anything of the sort!

Yup, I've had braces twice and really need them a third time. My jaw is too small and I've already had about 10 teeth pulled, and my tongue still pushes the teeth out. So... But my oldest has her first appliance (of many to come) now, and the younger two will also need them, so Mama will have to wait!

do you love them? my 14 yr old wanted invisalign but her teeth problems wouldn't benefit from using them. we had to go with full on braces lol. which i also wore as a teenager. and i just found out that my 9 yr old has a set of teeth missing in her top teeth (canines, yikes!) so how much you wanna bet that will take some braces, too. wait, don't bet me. i need to save my money for her braces coming up in a few years lol.

I'm 45 and just got my braces off 2 weeks ago. They were mainly to correct my bite, but I also got straight teeth out of it! I have the clear brackets in the front so they weren't very noticeable. I have a retainer to wear for a few months. Invisalign wouldn't work for my particular case.

Ooh . . . just the thought of braces makes me shudder! I still have nightmares of my mom scolding me for not wearing my headgear! LOL!

Yep, I've heard of them. Never tried them though!
