Six Word Saturday - #24

Show my Face blog hosts Six Word Saturday each week. I love this meme, because it is so simple yet can tell so much.  I hope to start participating every week again!

Here's what you do: Describe your life (or something) in just six words.

Dog got skunked again last night.

My dog was begging to go out last night so I figured he had to pee.....instead he decided to go after a skunk that was in the backyard.  The skunk won!  Dawn dishwashing soap on its own is amazing at helping to get rid of the smell.  I also Febreezed everywhere.  The groomer this morning said I did a good job of washing him with the Dawn.  Sigh!

There's something to be said for living on an island...no skunks!

Amusing story, thanks.

We who live up here in North Skunkville feel your pain. Yet another good reason not to keep a pet.

Oh no...that must have been terrible! I guess I've been lucky that my all my dogs have been afraid of critters (even the cat...and it is quite a sight to see the cat chasing a dog around the yard!).

Now that you said skunk I realize that I have never seen one around here where we live in Florida! Did you gag your way through this? Yuck!

Doesn't the smell linger in soft furnishings even after Febreezing? I've never smelled skunk, but my nose is wrinkling at the thought of it.

We used to have a dog who went AWOL for days chasing the ladies, and always came back stinking to high heaven. His punishment was to tie his lead to a drainpipe at the back of the house and hose him down, which he hated. It didn't work for long though!

Luckily we've never had a dog get into a skunk. We have had an unfortunate porcupine incident.....but nothing as stinky as skunk!

Good luck!

This must be awful! Sometimes I've smelled their stench outside but have never had our animals come in contact with one. Thank goodness!
