Aloha Friday

Thanks to Kailani at An Island Life for starting this fun for Friday. Please be sure to head over to her blog to say hello and sign the Mr. Linky there if you are participating.

I live in Santa Barbara and our whole town is basically on fire. I can't help but base my question off of that....

If you had to evacuate immediately, what would you take with you?

We had to evacuate for hurricanes in Florida several times. I don't care about anything except my photos. I have tons of them from when I was young growing up, to high school days, to me and hubby first dating and on and on. They are precious to me.

I live in Florida too. I take important papers like insurance, deeds etc. I also take my Bible and a few sentimental items.

I would take my pictures, and the teddy bear that my dad gave me when I was little. If I could get my computer out I would do that too, since it now has all my photos of my daughter on it.

After making sure the family and pets were safe, I would get picture albums and computer. Sending prayers your way for your safety and for all those who have already lost their homes and possesions! Stay Safe and Happy Mother's Day!

Our important papers and the cat.

Besides the family and pet, I have a binder that has important papers in it. So I'd grab that and the picture of our children that hangs over the fireplace.

After family and pets, family photos, my hard drive, my jewelry (its my business!) and important papers. Super scary thought, sending best wishes to you and your family.

Oh no!
My laptop, cell phone, wallet, and important documents. And anything else I could grab, I would.

Hang in there and stay safe!

I'd grab our cell phones, laptops, wedding and dating scrapbook, our camera. It would be tough to leave everything else behind but that stuff could be replaced. Pictures can't.

Pictures seem to be a common thread. I'm paranoid about losing my pictures. So once I take upload them to my computer, I upload them online and like to burn a cd of them too. This might be why I never actually get around to scrapbooking my pictures

I'm so sorry! I hope you all can stay safe!

After making sure my family was safe, I'd grab my laptop, since the last 5 years of pics are on it as well as important documents. I'd also take the scrapbooks and wedding album.

Insurance can replace anything else, but pictures.

My mom's wedding ring and my son. That's it. All my pictures are digital and saved on a website so I can get them back. All my clothes can be replaced and all my furniture can be bought again. That ring can't be replaced, it's a one of a kind. And my son isn't replaceable.
