Throughout everything yesterday, I had a slightly worrisome wake up call. Around 3 or 4 pm, I realized I was really craving sugar. And it wasn't the kind of craving sugarless gum would help. I almost made everyone go somewhere for dessert after dinner...but I controlled myself..knowing I'd get something when I got home.
So I am going to try...for at least this week...not to have any dessert type sugar! Obviously I am going to eat foods with sugar in them. I guess I need to go buy more fruit lol

oh... that is a great thing to do! I need to do that too... and drink more water too. hope it goes well!
More fruit, yes! Have you heard of Agave Nectar? It is natural, you use it in replacement of regular sugar and it helps your body avoid the sugar highs and lows that cause us to crave it so much.
My DH just got a diagnosis of "going to quickly go from borderline diabetes to full blow in a very short amount of time" so we are changing our eating habits. It's hard to change any habit. Wishing you all the best.
