Julie & Julia

My mom asked me to rent Julie & Julia for her...she really wanted to see it.  We started watching it Friday night and finished it Saturday afternoon.

The movie has two stories going on at the same time.  One story is about Julia Child (played by Meryl Streep).  The other story is about a blogger named Julie (played by Amy Adams).

I loved the part about Julie the best, because I can totally relate to everything she goes through with her blog.

Meryl Streep did a great job as Julia Child.  Don't get me wrong.  That part of the story was good, it just wasn't as good to me as the other part LOL

And for some reason, my mom found the whole movie boring.  But I really liked it, and would definitely recommend it.

I just watched that movie yesterday and LOVED it! It totally inspired me and now I want to buy Julia's cookbook and start doing what Julie did, although I'm not going to limit myself to one year...and I think I'll skip the chapter involving the calf's legs...what were those called again? ;)

I thought the movie was cute and somewhat funny. I was glad that I didn't see it in the theatre but it was a good dvd rental. Especially since it was free through Redbox!!

Thanks for stopping by on Follow Friday. I am a follower of you too!

I loved that movie too! ALthough I like the Julia Child part better.. but I think it was mostly because I was so surprised about so many things in her life. Great movie indeed!

I so want to see this. I was going to rent it today, but I was out too early and Blockbuster does not open until 10. Maybe tomorrow.

I watched this movie over the Christmas holiday and loved it! I remember Julia as a child my mom would watch her and Streep had the voice down great!

I just saw this movie too and thought it was pretty good. Very different and very relatable. I also learned a number of things about Julia Child that I didn't know.
