Rogue by Danielle Steel

Danielle Steel is one of many authors whose books I buy the second they come out in paperback.  I love her writing style - I am always so invested in her characters and I care so much about what happens to them.  I have laughed, cried, and gotten angry - all while reading her books.

Rogue is centered around Dr. Maxine Williams.  She is very serious, down-to-earth, career-driven, etc.  Her ex-husband Blake, an early dot.com gajillionaire, is care-free, wild, and everything else Maxine isn't.  Despite it all, they stay friends after their divorce.  Neither of them have seriously dated anyone since their divorce about 5 years ago.  Suddenly, Blake meets Arabella and Maxine meets Charles.  Their kids are extremely unhappy, but they are both smitten with their new love interests.  You can see where this is going.  Will Blake stay with Arabella?  Will Maxine marry Charles?  Or will Blake and Maxine get back together, which various people think will happen throughout the book.  You'll just have to read the book to find out!

I seem to have missed many of Danielle Steel's books since this one.  Hopefully I will find some of them as I continue to make my way through my TBR pile!  Have you ever read a book by Danielle Steel?  If so, did you like it?

I love her too!!!! Although, like all my favorite authors, reading has taken a HUGE backseat to crafting the past couple of years. I have about 6 or 7 to read (I have them on my shelf!), and who knows how many to catch up on, lol! This one sounds fabby as well!

Confession time: I haven't read a book for pure enjoyment in more than a year! Most of the books I've been reading recently are about child development, teaching methods and parenting. I would sure love to read this one soon, though. Sounds interesting!

I've read about 20 of Steel's books. I stopped for a while b/c they all seemed to be alike. I love most of them except I didn't care for The Klone & I. My favorites are:

. The Long Road Home -- difficult to read b/c of the topic(child abuse).

. Matters of the Heart -- sociopaths fascinate and terrify me. The opening passage still gives me the creeps. I hope I never meet one.

. Big Girl

. Malice

I have a few of her newer ones to catch up on and am way
behind on the older ones. I like that cover art has changed. I enjoy the TV movies too.

Wow, she's been writing books for a long time? How do these authors still keep coming up with material, it's mind boggling to me.

I've never seen In Time, but heard about it. Sounds very intriguing.

Take care,

Shauna

I love her books but I am way, way behind. I just don't read often enough.
